Frequently Asked Questions

• Trumbull's Core Babe Ruth League is for players between 13-15. 

• Our Core teams play other towns throughout Fairfield County in the Fairfield County Babe Ruth League. 

• Players register and all players are drafted onto teams. 

• Towns that have joined our regular season include Stratford, Bridgeport, Monroe, Fairfield, Westport, Weston, Wilton, Norwalk, New Canaan, Stamford, Darien and Greenwich.

• Leagues run Spring, Summer and Fall Seasons. 

• Home Games are hosted at the Babe Ruth Field at Unity Park in Trumbull

• Players must be Trumbull Residents

• This division is for 16 to 18 year-olds.  

• Teams are formed after High School Seasons are completed in May/June.    

• Trumbull plays in local Senior Babe Ruth league competing against teams from Fairfield County. 

• The schedule for the Senior BR team runs from early June to early July.

• Tryout for our District and Travel Teams open the first week of November

• The District team is part of the National Babe Ruth World Series tournament that starts around (June 24th – July 1st).

• This is the Babe Ruth equivalent of the Little League World Series.

• Teams start at the district level, play teams within their district with the possibility of advancing to State, Regional and National World Series.

• Each age bracket will have a representative team within the 13- 14- and 15 Year Old bracket.

• In 2022 Trumbull, CT fielded teams in the 13u, 14u & 15u divisions with great success.  13U hosted the New England Regional and was a Semi-Finalist.  Our 14U team was the 2022 CT State Champion and was New England Regional Finalist.  

• In certain age groups, Trumbull Babe Ruth will field multiple teams which will play in Travel BR Season and participate in tournaments.  One team will be selected as the "All Star" team to participate in district play.  

• ALL TEAMS play in Regional Tournaments and/or compete in the East Shore Travel League.  Tournaments are scheduled based on availability and competition level.
